'Trump is UNFIT to serve' Brazen appeal launched in bid to sneak Clinton into White House
A DESPERATE petition is calling on members of the United States Electoral College to "ignore" their state's vote and instead elect Hillary Clinton.
A petition to take down Donald Trump and instead elect Hillary Clinton has been launched
Daniel Brezenoff started the online petition, on Change.org, last month in a bid to reach six million supporters and strip Donald Trump of the US presidency.
It has so far received more than 4.6million signatures in a shameless attempt to hoist the Democrat into the White House.
Social worker Brezenoff claims that electors from the college – who can legally change their ballot to Clinton – should support the Democrat when it meets on December 19 because she won the popular vote.
Clinton: Coming here tonight wasn't the easiest thing for me
Mr Brezenoff wrote in the petition: “Hillary won the popular vote. The only reason Trump 'won' is because of the Electoral College.
“On December 19, the Electors of the Electoral College will cast their ballots. If they all vote the way their states voted, Donald Trump will win.
"However, in 14 of the states in Trump's column, they can vote for Hillary Clinton without any legal penalty if they choose."
Clinton won the popular vote but that was not enough to get her elected as the next US president
The petition class President-Elect Trump is ‘unfit’ to serve
Mr Brezenoff, who claims Mr Trump is "unfit to serve", went on: "The Electoral College can actually give the White House to either candidate. So why not use this most undemocratic of our institutions to ensure a democratic result?”
So-called 'faithless electors' – who do not vote for their party's designated candidate – have previously moved away from their state's choice, but it has never affected the result of an election.
And, in more than a dozen states, there is no law to punish 'faithless electors' meaning rogue voters can cast the ballot of their choice.
