‘I concede’ Donald Trump’s website HACKED by Clinton supporters as polling stations close
DONALD Trump’s website has been targeted by hackers as the fight for the White House goes down to the wire.
The White House hopeful's website was hit by hackers
The Republican candidate suffered the major hack in the final hours of campaigning of this presidential election.
A technical glitch on the press releases page of the website enabled cyber-troublemakers to change the content of the page – leading to bizarre results.
Users could briefly type whatever they wanted on the end of the page’s URL and it would appear at the top of the webpage.
Twitter user Andy Baio wrote "Trump Concedes" on the page
Hackers took to Twitter to shared their results of the error.
Andy Baio shared a photo of the webpage complete with a banner blasting: “Trump concedes”, complete with red flashing light emoji.
Sean O'Kane joked about Mr Trump's anti-media stance
Chris Bennett commented on the voting habits of Mr Trump's wife
Another, Sean O’Kane, wrote: “Actually it’s about ethics in journalism.”
And Chris Bennett referenced Mr Trump’s 46-year-old wife Melania, writing: “Melania didn’t vote for me.”
Alleged hacking has been widespread in this election cycle.
During the first head-to-head debates, property mogul Trump called on Russia to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails in the wake of the former First Lady’s private server scandal.
And now German chancellor Angela Merkel has warned Kremlin hackers could even meddle in next year’s German elections.
