Security agencies in the US are scrambling to discover whether or not the city was about to become victim to a Paris-style terror attack.
On Saturday 29 people were injured when a bomb went off in the Chelsea area of the city.
The explosion went off at 23rd Street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan at about 8.30pm.
Hours later, just blocks away from the blast site investigators found a pressure cooker which is believed to be related to the explosion.
Since the attack New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said there was no “credible threat” against the area from “any terror organisation”.
However, analysis of a threatening video released by Islamic State in 2015 shows the bomb went off on the exact avenue ISIS threatened last year.
The video, released in November 2015, shows a suicide bomber getting dressed and heading out into the city.

The footage cuts between the man readying for the attack and life in New York with yellow cabs and popular restaurants.
As well as Times Square the video reportedly shows Herald Square, a buzzing area of Manhattan which is home to Macy’s and Korea Town.
Herald Square is situated on 6th Avenue, the Avenue of Americas, which is the same road the bomb went off on.
In the sick ISIS clip American chain restaurant TGI Friday’s is identified - with the camera zooming in on the logo.

Five pipe bombs were found in a rubbish bin before officers sent in a robot.
A huge blast went off when the robot interfered with the bomb.
Hours later police officers pulled over an SUV on New York’s Belt Parkway and found a stash of weapons inside.

The attacker, who was dressed in a security guard uniform, was shot dead by police. Islamic State have claimed responsibility.
