Heckingford Manor is crumbling away
Heckingford Manor, which served consecutively as a grand country estate, a children's home and an old people's home, is now crumbling away.
In its final incarnation it was a highly successful drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility from the late 1980s to 2003, when severe funding cuts forced its closure.
It was immediately turned into a time warp temple, with the large stained glass windows, beds, typewriters and even needles left standing they were left an unlucky 13 years ago.

The imposing two storey structure began life as an 18th Century Georgian manor house and replaced a Tudor mansion that had previously stood on the land.

In May 2016, an application was submitted to the North Kesteven Distric Council to demolish the building, but was recently rescinded.
