Royals remember war dead in France
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have joined French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy at the French National Cemetery Douaumont near Verdun.
Verdun was the site of the longest-lasting battle between France and Germany in the First World War.
The Prince and Mr Sarkozy stood in silent tribute in front of the French flag before laying wreaths at the site in memory of the war dead.
