Statue of Virgin Mary 'cries' and leaves worshippers baffled
Churchgoers have been left dumbfounded after noticing tears falling from the face of the Madonna statue.
Priest Juan Angel Lopez, who is the Pastor of the Iglesia Santo Domingo Savio church in nearby Tegucigalpa, said today he was certain the weeping statue had not been faked, but did admit he had no idea what was causing the intriguing occurrence.
Visitors first spotted the unusual goings-on at the Campus Santiago Apostle – in the Catholic University of Honduras – at the weekend.

He told Honduras website La Prensa: "I'm not saying it's true, I'm saying it's possible.
"In this case, I suspect that there is no falsehood because I know people who run the Campus Santiago Apostle.
"I know the seriousness of people who have recorded the video and do not think they would fake it."
