WATCH LIVE: Tens of thousand of Erdogan supporters demonstrate in Cologne
TENS of thousands of demonstrators have hit the streets of Cologne to demonstrate in support of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Up to 50,000 people are expected to take part in the scenes, with the majority backing Turkey's leader in response to the recent attempted coup.
However, other groups are due to attend in a counter-demo, particularly over Erdogan's controversial human rights record.
Thousands of Turkish soldiers are reported to have been raped and starved following the failed coup.

Police vehicles with water cannons have been set up around the streets and police say they will stamp down on any violence.
Police Commissioner Jürgen Mathies said: "We will immediately and consistently intervene, if any hint of violence is evident."
