Talk about U-TURN: Now EU commissioner says Brexit would REVITALISE Europe
THE European Union would gain a new perspective and gather new dynamics if the UK quits the 28 country bloc, according to Digital Commissioner Gunther Oettinger.
The Commissioner thinks that a Brexit would be good for Europe
In an astonishing u-turn the commissioner said that he expects the European project to gather new dynamics in the event of a Leave vote in eight days time.
He believes that the EU could develop its security policy, foreign policy and anti-terrorism policy if there is a vote for Brexit in the upcoming referendum.

Mr Oettinger said that once elections had happened in certain countries, including France, the EU would gather more power and strength.
When Mr Oettinger was asked why the Commission had been so quiet about the UK’s EU referendum, he said that “we always hoped the Queen or the Pope would say something, that is why we held back.”

The German politician was appointed European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society in the European Commission in 2014.
His comments have comes as the Vote Leave campaign has set out its post-Brexit plans.
The group has said that a new settlement, including a UK-EU free trade deal, would be possible by May 2020.
The Vote Leave campaign has been attacking the European Commission about its five- and six-figure spending by Brussels officials on private jets , luxury hotels and an elite chauffeur service.
