Teacher has incredible reaction to students' touching gesture following her cat's death
A SCHOOL teacher was overcome with emotion after being given two new kittens by students after hers had passed away.
Teacher surprised with adorable kittens
Ashlie Mahan and Rachel Hanhart handed their teacher, Mrs Andrews, the two kittens – along with cupcakes, flowers and balloons.
Mrs Andrews was left almost in tears in her classroom at the kindness of the gesture and her shock at being given the two cats.
Ashlie uploaded the footage to Twitter along with the caption “So cute,” where it has been retweeted over 48,000 times.
One user, after watching the video, wrote: "My poor heart can’t handle this. Aww. Sobbing like a little baby."

Another said: "You guys are just gorgeous you made me cry. Your parents must be so proud of what amazing people you are.
A third said: "You girls are too sweet! Wish the kids were as nice as you girls are when I was in high school."
Others chose to draw attention to the fact the students’ act of kindness coincided with end of year exams, joking that it may have been done to secure a good grade.
