Teenager planned to ‘pack kangaroo with EXPLOSIVES and paint on Islamic State symbol'
A teenager allegedly hatched plans to pack a kangaroo with explosives, painting the animal with an Islamic State symbol and then set it loose.
Sevdet Ramadan Besim planned to pack a kangaroo with explosives, a court heard
Sevdet Ramadan Besim, 19, is also accused of planning to chop off a police officer’s head as part of a gruesome alleged terror attack.
A court heard how the 19-year-old had planned to carry out the attack on Anzac Day, an Australian remembrance day for those who died in conflict.
Besim faces four charges relating to the alleged planned attack
Besim, from Melbourne, had reportedly created a plan of the plot on his phone and spoke online with people overseas about his ideas.
He allegedly said he was “ready to fight these dogs on there [sic] doorstep”.

Besim added he would “love to take out some cops” and “I was gonna meet them then take some heads ahaha”. the court heard.
Mr Beslim faced five charges but a one charge of conspiring to do an act in preparation or planning a terror act after appearing at Melbourne Magistrates Court.
Police claim the pair spoke about Australian wildlife and suggested a kangaroo could be “packed with explosives” and painted with “the IS symbol” before letting it loose on officers.
Police arrested five and seized knives in April raid
The teenager was arrested on April 18 when armed officers stormed several homes, arresting five teenagers and seizing knives and swords.
Police also said Mr Besim is motivated by an extremist ideology and declared his support for ISIS.
He has pleaded not guilty to the other four charges and sent to trial in the Supreme Court.
