A CAFE owner has turned into a peacemaker with discounts to Jewish and Arab customers who eat together.
Humus Bar owner Kobi Tzafrir is offering discounts to his customers
Humus Bar in Israel is giving discounts of up to 50 per cent and free refills in a campaign to bring people together.
27 Israelis have been killed in attacks by Palestinian or Israeli Arabs since October with some 155 Palestinians killed in the same period.
Kobi Tzafrir, the owner of Humus Bar in Kfar Vitkin, posted the offer on Facebook.
He said: "With us we don't have Arabs! But we also don't have Jews…With us we've got human beings! Real excellent Arab hummus! Excellent Jewish falafel! And a free refill for every serving of hummus, whether you're Arab, Jewish, Christian, Indian, etc."

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Mr Tzafrir said: "We want to show that we're all human beings, just like each other, not so different.
"A lot of customers now say they have seen the post and they tell me they've come to support the idea.
"Some Arabs come with Jewish friends, some Jewish families alone. They're all saying good things."

The offer has proved popular with customers, with others shunning the discount and paying full price to support his campaign to ease tensions between the two groups.
Israeli Arabs, who make up a fifth of the country's 8.4million people, have long complained of unfair treatment in areas such as housing and employment opportunities.
