ISIS - also known as Daesh - exploded a bomb that was attached to a remote-controlled device so that his organs were guaranteed to be blown to pieces.
Jabar el-Maamouri, a senior official in the Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Forces, uncovered the sickening execution.
He revealed the helpless child was forced to wait for the militants to trigger the explosives which had already been tied to him.
He added that the boy's dad had been executed by the terror group militants a week earlier after being accused of participating in an attack on an ISIS outpost that killed two of its gunmen.
The reports comes just days after the brutal execution video was released
The sadistic killings are just the latest example of Islamic State brutality
ISIS have been pushed back significantly in recent weeks
The murder took place in the Al-Shirqat district, which has been controlled by ISIS since June 2014 and is considered to be one of its strongholds.
Mr el-Maamouri called on human rights organisations to "document the crimes of ISIS" and hoped publicising the brutality would condemn ISIS' funders and supporters
Meanwhile, another source revealed that ISIS had wiped out an entire village in the Iraqi Nineveh province after residents rebelled against the group.
The source said: “ISIS executed dozens of civilians including old people, women and children in the village of Al-Choud."

The sadistic killings are just the latest example of Islamic State brutality - and it is not the first child killing the terror group has allegedly committed.
Daesh have also released a number of propaganda films showing the militants training an army of children in a bid to create a new generation of brainwashed jihadists.
