The huge fire broke out on New Year's Eve in The Address Hotel as hundreds gathered nearby to watch a planned fireworks display.
Four crews of firefighters worked into the night tackling the blaze at the hotel, located near the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest skyscraper at 828 metres.
Fire officials said 14 people were mildly injured, while it was reported that one person suffered a heart attack from the smoke and overcrowding.
But now shocking footage has been released showing the extent of the damage caused inside the luxury 990ft building, of which the fire ran up at least 20 storeys.
