Inside the California shooters’ lair: Koran and children's toys among pipe bombs and ammo
THESE are images from inside the apparently normal suburban family home where the California shooters who killed 14 people lived.
The Koran and other Islamic texts were found inside the shooters' home
The photos reveal a normal home inhabited by a couple whose deadly killing spree in San Bernardino, California, is now being investigated as an act of terrorism.
Family photographs, children’s toys and trinkets lay beside scores of ammunition and pipe bombs in Tashfeen Malik and Syed Rizwan Farook’s home where they lived with their six-month-old daughter.
The Koran and other books on Islam were found in the two-story rented house as officials combed through mobile phones and a computer hard drive left behind by the couple.
More than 6,000 rounds of ammunition and a dozen pipe bombs were found on Farook and Malik and at their home.
Access to their home was granted by their landlord as it emerged Malik had pledged allegiance to Islamic State (ISIS) just minutes into the deadly attack on a staff Christmas party on Wednesday.
US authorities are yet to confirm any links to ISIS - also known as Daesh - but are investigating the incident as an act of terrorism.

If a link to the terror group is confirmed, the mass shooting would be the first attack in America that has been led or inspired by ISIS.
Farook attended a Christmas party with colleagues at the San Bernardino County Health Public Health Department but had left in an “angry” state, according to witnesses.
He was next seen by his co-workers dressed in battle gear and wielding an assault rifle.

Why would he do something like this? I have absolutely no idea.
Farook and Malik burst into a room full of colleagues at their Christmas party, shooting dead 14 people and injuring another 17.
They were both killed in a gun battle with police after the mass shooting.
The couple had dropped off her infant daughter with her grandmother hours before carrying out the deadly attack, according to family members.
Inside Malik and Farook's home
Law enforcement sources have said Farook was radicalised and was in contact with international terrorism suspects.
Farook, 27, visited Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2014, the Saudi Embassy in Washington confirmed.
He was not on any terrorism watch list, US authorities have confirmed.
Christian Nwadike, who worked with Farook for five years, said his co-worker had been different since he returned from Saudi Arabia.

He said: "I think he married a terrorist.”
Malik, originally from Saudi Arabia, was not on any Saudi law enforcement or terrorism watch list, according to a source close to the Saudi government.
Friends of Farook, a ‘devout Muslim’, have said he abruptly stopped going to his mosque three weeks ago.

Family members have expressed shock and sadness over the pair’s actions.
Farhan Khan, who is married to the suspect’s sister, gave a statement at the Anaheim office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
He said: "Why would he do something like this? I have absolutely no idea. I am in shock myself."
