This is the touching moment a child tries to understand the Paris attacks
Processing the nightmare of the Paris attacks is hard enough for grownups as a city grapples to come to terms with its grief.
But this poignant exchange between a father and son shows how the terrible events are seen through a child's eyes.
Standing alongside his crouching father, the little boy said: "They have guns, they can shoot at us because they are very, very horrible dad."
When asked he if understood why terrorists had attacked Paris, the boy replied: "Yes, because they're very, very, very horrible."
He added: "Horrible people, they're not very nice. And you must really be careful because you have to move house."
The boy starts to smile after his father reassures him
Horrible people, they're not very nice
The little boy's father replied: "Don't worry, we don't need to move house - France is our home."
The boy then said: "But there are horrible people dad."
His father told his son: "Yes, but there are horrible people everywhere.
"That's not a reason to have gun, we have flowers."
Innocent childs thoughts on the Paris Attack
The little boy said before stammering: "But flowers do nothing..."
Gesturing to the flood of tributes left for the dead, his father said: "Look - everyone is laying flowers. They're here to fight against guns."
Reassured, the boy asked: "They're protecting us? And the candles too?"
Floods of tributes have been left at locations throughout Paris
A smile appeared across the little boy's face as his father told him yes.
"I'm feeling better now," he said.
