WATCH: Abandoned baby deer refuses to leave the hero who saved her
THIS adorable video shows how one heroic man rescued a baby deer abandoned by her mother.
Darius Sasnauskas spotted the deer in his back garden when he noticed she had a leg injury.
The damage was too severe for her to keep up with her mother and sibling, who eventually wandered off and leaft her.
Mr Sasnauskas nursed the deer back to health
The deer was abandoned by her mother
With so many predators around, she had no chance to survive on her own
Mr Sasnauskas writes in the footage: "With the injured leg the baby fawn couldn't keep up with her brother and mom."
"The baby deer was left, her mother never returned."
"With so many predators around, she had no chance to survive on her own."
Mr Sasnauskas bottle fed the baby deer
Mr Sasnauskas decided to take the deer into his home and nurse her back to health.
He starts by making her a brace used with a porridge box - helping her to stand properly.
The deer is then recorded slowly learning to walk and feeding on milk from a bottle to gain her strength.
His pets began to take care of the fawn
Mr Sasnauskas's "guardian" dogs and cats never leave the adorable deers side.
She is seen running around and playing games with the other pets.
One of the dogs Mack even adopts a fathering role - continually kissing the fawn, nursing her to better health.
Mack adopted a fathering role and cared for the deer
The footage shows how Mr Sasnauskas hunted high and low for the deer's mother after she had recovered.
The video ends with Mr Sasnauskas explaining that they eventually find the mother, but he didn't have his camera with him to record the footage.
But "a few months later" he spotted the happy family of deers.
