Islamist extremists trying to recruit REFUGEES from asylum camps in Europe, police warn
RADICAL Islamists are trying to recruit desperate refugees from camps to join their twisted cause, police have warned.
Refugees could be radicalised by terror groups such as ISIS
The warped extremists have been caught talking to Syrians at asylum centres across Oslo, according to Norwegian media reports.
Experts have previously warned vulnerable refugees could be susceptible to radicalisation after arriving in Europe.
A Norwegian Police Security Service spokesman said: "We have seen signs that extreme Islamists have approached the reception centres and asylum seekers.
It's difficult to say what their specific purpose is
"They have been there to get contacts. Aside from that, it's difficult to say what their specific purpose is.
"We are of course worried about recruitment into radical circles.
"Of course we are worried about every single person that may be recruited by extreme Islamists and their cause."
Europe is experiencing the biggest migration crisis since the 1940s
The worrying news comes just weeks after Express.co.uk revealed ISIS militants declared a European caliphate with chilling graffiti in nearby Sweden.
The community of Assyrian Christians in Gothenburg were shocked to see the phrases "convert and die" and "the caliphate is here" daubed over the walls of a restaurant.
Hugo Limkjær, the manager of the centre in Olso, confirmed Islamists had been spotted talking to refugees.

According to Breitbart London, he said: "We had an incident here with an Islamist who has been in Norway for some years.
"His message was that the West had helped to destroy his homeland and they had to stand together within Islam.
"It was very important that they continued to go to the mosque and followed the rules, particularly with regard to women."
