New mass shooting at Arizona university leaves one dead and three injured
ONE person has died and three others have been left injured after a shooting at an American university.
The shooting happened at Mountain View Hall
The suspected shooter is in custody after firing bullets at the Northern Arizona University's Flagstaff campus early this morning where more than 20,000 students are enrolled.
The shooting happened in the car park of Mountain View Hall, a student housing building where most of the campus' students involved in fraternities or sororoties live.
Cindy Brown, the university's public relations director, said the first call to police was made to police at 1.20am (9.29am BST).
It is unclear what the motives of the suspected shooter are currently.
Arizona university shooting
The university sent an emergency alert out calling for all residents of Mountain View Hall to remain indoors.
Last week nine people were killed at the Umpqua Community College in Oregon.
It yet again sparked a huge debate over gun control laws in America.
