Fears for Whitney Houston's daughter as family hold overnight vigil at her bedside
WHITNEY Houston’s daughter is fighting for life after she was found face down and “unresponsive” in a bath like her late mother.
Bobbi Kristina Brown's family members arrive at North Fulton Hospital last night
Bobbi Kristina Brown has been placed in a medically-induced coma on a ventilator in hospital.
The 21-year-old was discovered in the bathtub by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend at their US home in Georgia, Atlanta at around 10.25am on Saturday.
It comes just days before the anniversary of her mother’s death, who was found dead almost three years ago when she drowned in the bath at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel in an accidental drug overdose.
Bobbi’s father, the singer Bobby Brown, was reported to be on his way to his daughter’s bedside.
A source told US television it was “no coincidence” that Bobbi was rushed to the hospital so close to the anniversary of her mother’s death and that her troubles are “a lot deeper than everyone can see”.
Police attended the home of Bobbi Kristina Brown after her husband found her unresponsive in a bath
It's a rough time lately with the anniversary so this is a blow to the family.
Bobbi’s distraught husband – who was taken in and raised by the Houston clan before he controversially married Bobbi last year –gave CPR to his wife as he desperately tried to revive her.
Medics then revived her on the scene before she was taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell.
“Bobbi Kristina’s husband found her facedown in a bathtub in the bathroom of their home,” said Lisa Holland, a spokesperson for the Roswell Police Department in Georgia.
“She was unresponsive, meaning not breathing, no heartbeat.
“He immediately started CPR on her.”
She added: “Obviously we all know her mom died this very same way.
“Can’t say how sad this is.
“It’s a difficult situation for police officer to perform CPR on any person.”
“We don’t know if this was a medical condition where she had a problem in the tub or if it was any type of self-initiated or overdose type of situation.”
Police said no drugs were found during a search of the home but it was reported that the tragedy was related to an “apparent drug overdose”.

Singer Jerod Brown, a cousin of Bobbi Kristina's who goes by the stage name YF Kennedy, tweeted to his followers yesterday that he was also going to see the ill actress. "We don't know what happened yet," he told E! News. "We don't know why she was unresponsive."
He also confirmed that he had spoken to Bobbi Kristina's husband Nick Gordon via text message and was told that the aspiring actress and singer was in a stable condition.
"Krissi doesn't do drugs," he said.
"She hasn't been drinking or doing drugs and she's cut down on cigarettes. She's been trying to get her music together and keep her voice clean. Her voice is so beautiful."
"She's still been going through the grieving stages but is trying to keep her spirits up.
"She's been going to the gym every day with her husband and trying to be happy. She swims a lot.
"It's a rough time lately with the anniversary," YF Kennedy said.
"So this is a blow to the family."

The aspiring star's admission to hospital comes almost three years to the day since her mother died at age 48 on February 11th 2012. A coroner said she drowned with “effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use”.
Troubled former reality star Bobbi tweeted about her mother’s death just days ago, posting: “Littlelady & yourgrowing young man @nickgordon miss you mommy so much...loving you more every sec, #Anniversary!”

“She used to say, “Do you need me?” and I would say, “I always need you.’”
Ms Houston, whose dozens of hit songs include "How Will I Know" and "I Will Always Love You," was the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston and a cousin of pop singer Dionne Warwick.
Bobbi Kristina Brown's father, Bobby Brown, is a Grammy Award winner who started his career as frontman for the R&B group New Edition.
