Pensioner 'drops grenade' on noisy teenagers who were keeping him up at night
A PENSIONER dropped a grenade on a group of noisy teenagers who were keeping him up at night, it has been claimed.
Radik Sahov told police he had warned the youths to be quiet or he would take "drastic action" but they just laughed at him.
The incident made the man lose his temper and he allegedly went and grabbed the grenade he had stored in his apartment and threw it from his balcony.
The explosion injured five of the youths seriously but their wounds were not life-threatening.
He claimed they had just laughed at him, and he lost his temper
Police spokesman Dmitry Kozlov said: "He claimed they had just laughed at him, and he lost his temper.
"He came back with an old but still effective Soviet era hand grenade which he threw at them."
The incident happened in south-east Russia's Orenburg Oblast region and Sahov is now facing explosives and attempted murder charges.
The accused claims he only wanted to scare the teens but after he dropped the grenade they ran towards it to see what it was and were injured by the blast.
