WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT: Woman smuggles drugs through airport in her breast implants
A WOMAN has been caught trying to smuggle cocaine hidden in her breast implants.
The 48-year-old was stopped at Madrid airport after she arrived on a flight from Bogota, Colombia, because she looked nervous.
Her luggage was searched but nothing was found so officers decided to do a body search. The Venezuelan passenger then broke down and confessed.
Both implants contained 3.7lbs of cocaine with a street value of £71,000
After the incident earlier this month she was taken to hospital where doctors removed both implants which contained 3.7lbs of cocaine with a street value of £71,000.
Police at Madrid’s Adolfo Suarez airport said yesterday they have seized £20million of cocaine from Latin American flights in the past six months.
