Cat who saved boy from dog attack honoured as a celebrity at baseball game
A CAT that became famous for saving a boy from a dog attack has made a guest appearance at a baseball game in America.
Tara was caught on security camera chasing away a dog that was savaging four year-old Jeremy Triantafilo, the son of her owner.
The video has had 21 million views on YouTube.
And Tara has now been honoured in a rather unusual way - by being asked to 'throw' the first pitch in a minor baseball league game in California.
However, despite attempts to engineer the pitch using a baseball attacked to a fishing line, the endeavour was not successful.
Erica Triantafilo, Jeremy's mother, said that the family have spoiled their pet rotten since her surprise heroics last week.
She said: "We've just given her a lot of love, kept her in the house and paid a lot of attention to her."
