Disgusting! Graphic video game of Boston Marathon bombings released online
A GRAPHIC video game about the tragic Boston Marathon bombings where the player runs past dead runners and jumps over explosives has been released.
The game, called The Boston Marathon: Terror On The Streets, hit the internet just over a week after the attack that killed three and injured 264.
In the game the player takes the role of a marathon runner who has to jumper over pressure cooker bombs that litter the streets.
Horrific images shows dead spectators and disembowling people in the street which is covered with pools of blood.
If the player loses the game it shows an image of a man without his leg sitting in a wheelchair with the message "better luck next year!"
The news of the game was greeted with shock and dismay by people on Twitter.
One user tweeted: "What kind of people create a game based on a national tragedy? Sick world".
While another wrote: "I can't believe someone created a video game called Boston Marathon 2013: Terror on the Streets. YOU SHOULD BE SHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!"
The game was released on website Lolokaust, which features graphic images on the Sandy Hook disaster and the manhunt for Christopher Dorner.
