Behind you! Kayaker flees Jaws
THIS kayaker had the shock of his life when he turned and saw a 14ft great white shark stalking him.
Walter Szulc Jnr was 100 yards from safety when he spotted the man-eater only 7ft behind.
He was at Nauset Beach in Orleans, Massachusetts, at the weekend, only 40 miles from where the 1975 movie Jaws was filmed.
Onlooker Dave Alexander said: “There were hundreds of people on the beach yelling: ‘Paddle! Paddle! Paddle!’”
Mr Szulc said: “I looked behind me and saw the shark. It was a good size and it had a fin sticking out, so I just turned and paddled.”
Lifeguards then evacuated 3,000 people off the beach.
