Shark kills scuba diver
THE body of a scuba diver savaged by a shark was dragged from the water by his horrified brother yesterday.
Father-of-two Peter Kurmann, 33, was killed off the coast of Perth, Western Australia, in an area notorious as a feeding ground for great whites.
The 33-year-old Australian was attacked by the four-metre-long shark at a popular reef.
Police confirmed that Mr Kurmann had been diving with his brother Gian from a small open boat about a mile off Stratham Beach, between Bunbury and Busselton, shortly before 9.30am.
A spokeswoman said his body was taken to Port Geographe Marina near Busselton.
Beaches in the area were closed following the attack.
