Gun-toting Duchess of Cornwall Camilla is a hit on set of The Killing
THE Duchess of Cornwall forced her Danish counterpart to dive for cover yesterday as she brandished a gun on the set of cult crime drama The Killing.
It was a replica, of course. But Camilla still had the Crown Princess Mary cowering as she borrowed the gun from Sofie Grabol, who plays detective Sarah Lund.
“I’m an addict, I’m so excited by this,” said the Duchess before waving the gun and joking that she was the whodunnit’s killer, saying: “It was me all along.”
Camilla, 64, was also presented with her own Sarah Lund jumper, or at least a cardigan version of the sweater that turned the actress into a cult heroine.
The third series of The Killing is being filmed just outside Copenhagen.
Camilla was visiting the set on the last day of an eight-day Scandinavian tour while Prince Charles toured a housing estate with Crown Prince Frederik.

Series creator Soren Sveistrup met Charles at a reception.
He said: “Prince Charles told me it was Camilla who introduced him to The Killing.” Perhaps revealing more about his marriage than he intended, Charles joked it was “one of the only things they could agree on seeing together”.
