Man survives ship container ordeal
A Bangladeshi port worker has survived nine days trapped without food or water in a cargo container shipped to Singapore.
Another man trapped with him died.
The New Paper of Singapore reported that 30-year-old Din Islam said he became trapped while resting in the container at Bangladesh's Chittagong port on April 1.
Police said he and the body of the other man were discovered on Sunday by a worker at Pasir Panjong Terminal who heard loud banging in the container.
They did not elaborate on how long the men might have been there.
They said Mr Din was in a stable condition in hospital suffering from dehydration.
