Horror of baby swept from mother’s arms in Australia floods
A BABY girl dragged from her mother’s arms by raging floodwaters is the youngest victim of Australia’s floods.
Jessica Keep, 23 months, was at home with her mother Stacey when a torrent smashed through the wall of their home in the town of Grantham, west of Brisbane.
The pair were sent tumbling down the road and on to a railway line.
Stacey’s brother-in-law Darren Keep said: “Stacey’s legs got caught in the sleepers and she was drowning with her baby in her arms. But then the water tore Jessica from her.”
