China has released a horrifying propaganda video revealing how it intends to encircle the main island of Taiwan, forcing its troops to surrender.

Xi Jinping has continually pushed for what he calls a "peaceful reunification", but this has been rejected by Taiwan's people and government over fears of a Communist Party rule.

As a result, he has escalated his country's military and coastguard drills in to be ready for a full-scale invasion by 2027, according to US intelligence reports.

China has started conducting drills focusing on sea and air combat readiness, blockading key Taiwanese ports and areas, and assaults on maritime and ground targets.

The Eastern Theatre Command’s spokesperson, Senior Captain Li Xi, said: "The drill also serves as a stern warning to the separatist acts of Taiwan Independence forces."

This latest escalation has come with the release of a shocking video by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), reportedly being "dispersed via state-controlled media", according to BBC China correspondent Stephen McDonell.

He said the CCP is "celebrating this drill as merely the latest in a series of encirclement exercises in which Taiwan is surrounded by the PLA".

The video shows plans for aerial and maritime attacks, cornering the main island on all sides until Taiwanese forces are left with no choice other than to surrender.

Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council has responded to Monday's drills, calling them "blatant provocations" that threaten peace in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs echoed this sentiment, calling on Beijing to "pull back from the brink of a precipice".

Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te's office urged China to accept the president's "good will" and revealed there has been a national security meeting on how to deal with the latest drills.

The Tawainese Ministry of Defence has also released footage of the military responding to the drills, revealing air defence launches, military vehicles, and a navy ship taking their positions. The ministry has maintained it will avoid escalation or direct clashes.

Professor Zhang Chi from the PLA National Defence University said its a "dead end" for Taiwanese independence as the drills will have a "more intense deterrent effect" on "separatist forces".

He told state media outlet CCTV: "The more the separatist forces dare to provoke, the further the PLA will advance. The closer the separatists align with external forces, the tighter the chain of Taiwan's blockade will become."

The Eastern Theater Command has since announced that it has "successfull completed" the drills, dubbed "Joint Sword-2024B", and the "capabilities of the troops were fully tested during the drills".
