New research from Preply, an online language course provider, has revealed the loudest urban areas around the world, in areas where it seems the city never sleeps.

Major cities worldwide were analysed based on a variety of factors including traffic, noise pollution levels and population density. The research also reveals the noisiest cities within Europe specifically, as well as the world’s quiet.

With only 54 pubs and bars advertised online, Frankfurt is crowned the quietest city in the world.

The following ten cities should be taken into consideration by those who enjoy peace and quiet on holiday and cherish their beauty sleep.
