One angry resident took matters into their own hands over their neighbour's parking - writing a note full of insults and sticking it onto the vehicle.

A man was mocked after an insanely heated parking row between two residents resulted in a very insulting note being slapped on his car.

A driver shared an image of an angry letter he received from one of his neighbours, in which he was told he was a "piece of s***" for taking up too much parking space by leaving his vehicle over the lines.

The letter, which was headed with "youparklikeana******.com", saw the writer circle the word "a******" and tick the box indicating that the offending driver "always" left their vehicle "too far from the drive".

The foul-mouthed note read: "Okay, now you're either the dumbest motherf***** in a five mile radius or now parking like this on purpose because your piece of s*** a*** is taking up 2 spots!!

"5 cars should be able to park in this parking area at all times!!"

Sharing the letter on a popular Reddit forum - where users ask other Redditors whether they are behaving inappropriately or not - the receiver of the note wrote: "I don't have a rear backup camera, so sometimes there is a foot or two of space between my car and the driveway. Doesn't seem to cause issues as most of us have normal sized vehicles.

"The spaces are not marked, it's just a local resident street parking zone with green signs. I really don't have time to get in and out of my car making tiny corrections to appease this note-leaving person.

"But I keep getting progressively more aggressive notes... I'm talking about 2-3 feet of space tops, and maybe once a week tops. Do you guys think it's that big of a deal? This person just seems like they have mental health issues tbh [to be honest]."

Responders to the question asked the user to share an image of the offending parking, however they refused.

One responder wrote: "Someone must really be upset to leave a note like that. Is the note mean and petty? Yes and yes.
Can it be worst? Yup. Some neighborhood, your car get keyed or tire slashed.

"As for your question if YTA [you're the a******]? Will need picture of your parked car to better determine and answer your question."

However others were more definite in their assessment, blaming the offending parker.

One user wrote: "YTA. 2 or 3 feet of space can mean the difference of a car getting into the space or not. On a residential street with limited parking, it can be a big deal. That you don't care enough to make a minor adjustment that takes 5 seconds (?) does show you are. I'm gonna guess from the note that you do this every day, so while writing the note is also unhinged, your parking skills sound like they suck".
