Ukraine: Kamala Harris criticised over 'verbal missiles' by Murray
Kamala Harris has been savaged by political commentator Douglas Murray over the US Vice President's "boring" speech on Sunday in Munich to address the Ukraine crisis. Ms Harris travelled to the German city to meet with European leaders amid growing fears of an all-out invasion of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin's Russia.
"I don't know whether she was trying to bore her European counterparts or send these sort of boring verbal missiles to Vladimir Putin until he gave in.
"It doesn't say anything. It doesn't do anything. It's just another banality.
"It does nothing to stop Vladimir Putin," he continued.
"There's this debate now going on about exactly what Vladimir Putin wants to take in Ukraine. Is he going to take that the parts of the country which he sees as his which he sees as, as Russian speaking, dominated and therefore able to be concealed by him?
Kamala Harris slammed as ‘incompetent and lazy’ on GB News
"Or does it mean he's gonna roll all the way to Kiev? Does it mean he's gonna take the whole thing go right up to the borders of NATO countries like Hungary?"
Mr Murray added: "This is incredibly serious and nothing that this administration has done in DC has shown that they recognise the seriousness of it."
Vladimir Putin announced that Russia would recognise the pro-Russian "republics" of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine.
The Russian leader said on Monday he was authorising the despatch of "peacekeepers" to the area.
