Tiger Woods faces losing multimillion deals
TIGER Woods’s preoccupation with his birdies could cost him some lucrative sponsorship deals.
Although he is in the middle of a five-year £60.7million deal with Nike, some of his other contracts – including Electronic Arts, Gillette, NetJets and TLC Vision – all come up for renewal next year.
Los Angeles media analyst Mike Raia said: “Major sponsors, like Nike, are showing tremendous loyalty by standing by him but that doesn’t mean they’re necessarily delighted with this publicity.
“Nike’s slogan – ‘Just do it’ – is already being parodied sexually on chat shows and that isn’t going to impress its directors or stock holders.”
