Tiger Woods pulls out of charity tournament because of crash injuries
TIGER Woods has pulled out of his own charity golf tournament because of injuries from his car crash.
Tiger Woods was due to host the Chevron World Challenge in California this week but announced last night that he would miss the event.
It would have been his first public appearance since he smashed his car into a fire hydrant and tree near his £1.7million home in Florida at 2.30am on Friday.
Yesterday a statement on his website read: “Due to injuries… Tiger Woods will be unable to play in the 2009 Chevron World Challenge.”
Woods, 33, then personally added: “I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week. I am certain it will be an outstanding event.”
