Swine flu jabs start in Australia
Australia's drug regulators have approved a vaccine for swine flu and the country will become one of the first in the world to vaccinate against the illness.
Health minister Nicola Roxon said the Therapeutic Drug Administration announced that CSL's vaccine had been approved.
She said: "This decision now paves the way for a national vaccination programme to start later this month."
The World Health Organisation has declared the swine flu strain a pandemic that has killed more than 3,500 people worldwide.
