County Dublin: Flowers laid outside home of McGinley children
Irish police (Gardaí) are set to launch a triple murder investigation after the bodies of the young children were found in a property at Parson’s Court, Newcastle.
A woman, believed to the children’s mother, is being treated in hospital after she was found “distressed and disorientated” outside the house.
A note was found on the front door with the message: “Don’t go upstairs… call 999”, according to Dublin Live.
Police sources said they had found no evidence anyone else was in the house when the children died.
There were no signs of a break-in at the property.
A criminal investigation will now be launched into the deaths of the children — two boys and a girl, aged four, eight and 10 years old.
There were no signs of obvious injuries on the children’s bodies.
The deaths are being treated as “sudden” and “unexplained”.

She told Dublin Live: “It hasn’t sunk in yet.
“It doesn’t seem real. I’ll be honest we’re shaking.”
A second woman added: “It’s a quiet estate. I think it’s an understatement to say we’re shocked.
“I’m sure more details will emerge in the morning but tonight everybody just can’t believe it’s on our doorstep.”
