The former First Lady said Mr Obama has lost out on “all the good stuff” in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. Michelle was promoting her new book on the show and mentioned Barack is currently working on his. She said that since her book was first, she didn’t have to fight with Barack about which anecdotes she included in the memoir.
The book, Becoming, features Michelle’s time in the White House.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the host asked the former First Lady: "You said Barack is working on his book right now.
"Did you guys ever have a situation where you fight over an anecdote?
“He’s like, ‘I wanted that for my book’.”
Michelle said: "Since my book was first, he lost on all that, all the good stuff."
Mr Kimmel went on to joke about whether a “rift” would be caused in their relationship if Oprah doesn’t put Barack’s book in her book club.
Michelle added jokingly: “It might hurt his feelings but he’ll get over it.”
Earlier in the interview, Michelle joked that the two former heads of state have become “boring".
Mr Kimmel asked her how unemployment was going since it had been a year since she left the White House.
Michelle said: “I was just trying to think of what we’ve been doing but truthfully, we’re boring.
“We have a teenager at home and she makes us feel inadequate everyday.
“So our self-esteem is pretty low.”
