Sherpa blasts Everest litter louts
A Nepalese Sherpa guide who broke his own record to climb Mount Everest for the 19th time said his team brought down 5,000 kilograms of rubbish from the mountain.
Sherpa Appa said he is also concerned about the impact of global warming on the world's highest mountain.
Appa reached the 29,035-foot summit on Thursday for the 19th time and broke his own previous record for the most climbs of Everest.
He flew back to the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, on Monday.
He said people must clean Everest and protect it, and that the warming temperature is increasing the volume of glacial lakes.
