A community of monks have had broadband internet installed on their remote island.
The 15 monks living on Caldey Island, off the coast of Tenby, Pembrokeshire, West Wales, organised the technological upgrade after having their patience tried by a slow dial-up connection.
Father Daniel, Abbot of Caldey Abbey, said: “Patience is one of the characteristics of monastic life, but even the patience of the brothers was being tested by our slow, dial-up internet service.”
