Boy’s bedroom-based RAF memorabilia museum takes off
PLANE-mad Sam Boore is opening his bedroom to visitors – after his collection of RAF memorabilia was officially recognised as a museum.
Seven-year-old Sam’s love of flight began after visiting the RAF base where his great uncle had served in the Fifties.
So he spent months using all his pocket money to collect model planes, limited edition posters, medals and military books.
Now his collection at his home in Magdalen, near King’s Lynn, Norfolk, has been designated a museum by the Children’s University. Donations will go to the Bridge For Heroes Armed Forces charity.
Sam, who wants to be a fighter pilot when he grows up, said: “All my friends are going to come.”
