Is this the face of GOD? Cloud resembling Michelangelo painting caught by photographer
IS this the face of God in the sky?
A photographer was stunned when she spotted a cloud in a stormy sky that had an uncanny resemblance to Michelangelo's painting of the Almighty.
Rose Surgay, a 30-year-old from Cornwall, was travelling around New Zealand's South Island when she took the spiritual shot.
I could clearly make out a face which reminded me of the famous picture of God
The picture has a cloud formation that bears a strong likeness to the bearded God painting by Michelangelo in The Creation of Adam.
The iconic image, which shows God breathing life into Adam, is part of the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel.
Miss Surgay said: "I was travelling on the road and the clouds looked really pretty in the sky, so I stopped and took a couple of photos.
"I thought nothing of it until I looked back over the camera. I noticed that even though each photo was only taken a few seconds after each other, one looked very different and I could clearly make out a face which reminded me of the famous picture of God, which is painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, in the Vatican.
"It is fascinating to look at because I didn't edit the picture or change anything about it but it came out completely different."
