George Osborne's Wallace and Gromit joke gets a laugh but its the budget that falls flat
THE Budget isn't usually one for laughter but George Osborne got a laugh as he took a light jibe at Ed Miliband today.
The Chancellor in a bid to promote investment into television in Britain signalled a tax break to help firms such as animator Aardman remain British-based.
In a jibe at Ed Miliband and shadow chancellor Ed Balls, he said he wanted to "keep Wallace and Gromit exactly where they are".
The joke was so good, one wondered whether it had swayed his decision on whether to adopt the policy.
