Mum renovating home finds ‘clever’ note from previous owner under old wallpaper
The note, signed by someone called "Jon" on December 21, 1997, was found over 20 years after it had been put there according to reports.
Handwritten in pen was a DIY hack that revealed how many rolls of wallpaper were needed to cover the entire wall.

The note said: “If you ever need to wallpaper this room again, it will take 8 rolls of wallpaper.
“I bought just six roles at $17 per roll on [December 5 1997] and didn’t have enough. It really p***ed me off.”

After she found the message, the mother posted the photo to a mum’s group on Facebook.
Since posting the find, she has been inundated with comments from people who praised the idea.
Some of those who responded described the idea as “clever” and “thoughtful” whilst others thought it was flawed.
Along with many others, the poster found the tip very helpful, the post quickly racked up 8,500 likes soon after it was posted.

One user joked that they could “just feel the frustration” while another said they hoped Jon had finally gotten over the annoying wallpaper.
Not everyone was pleased about the advice, one user found a flaw in Jon’s note as they pointed out that wallpapers come in different widths and lengths.
