Parts of Britain are set for higher temperatures than Greece and Italy’s southern Mediterranean coast as the spring sun continues to roast the UK.

England is set for plenty of warm weather with Birmingham, Peterborough, and Lincoln all set to hit 18 degrees centigrade in the afternoon.
And the sunny streak is set to continue in Wales, with Cardiff hitting a high of 18 degrees centigrade and Newtown (Powys) stretching to a scorching 19 degrees.

Heading north, Manchester and York can expect pleasant sun to rival their southern neighbours, while Newcastle will hit a balmy 17 degrees.
The picture looks a little cooler towards North West England where Kendall will reach highs of around 15 degrees, and cooler still in Scotland where Dumfries and Aberdeen will hit a high of 12°C.
But central Scotland will get most of the northern nation’s heat despite some cloud throughout the day, with Edinburgh, Pitlochry and Glasgow all reaching 14 degrees centigrade across the afternoon.

Further north Tiree and Ullapool will both hit 10 degrees centigrade, and both Stornaway and Wick will reach 9 degrees centigrade over the course of the day.
It will be a slightly cloudy day in Northern Ireland, but despite grey skies Belfast is expected to reach an agreeable 14 degrees centigrade while Londonderry will hit a high of 15 degrees centigrade.
In East anglia Norwich will enjoy a pleasant 16 degrees, while further south Dover and Brighton will reach between 12°C and 13°C degree heat.

London is expected to get the most of Britain’s balmy weather, with estimates ranging from 19°C to 23°C across the day.
Southampton will reach 16 degrees centigrade while Swindon will climb slightly higher to 17 degrees centigrade.
Towards the Cornish coast Exeter is expected to peak at 15 degrees centigrade while Camborne will enjoy a pleasant 14 degrees centigrade.
