When and where will Storm Conor HIT the UK this Christmas? Latest forecasts and warnings
STORM Conor is close behind Storm Barbara as Britons prepare for a very stormy Christmas this year.
Storm Conor to bring gail force winds to north of England
At 11am, the Met Office announced: “Storm has just been named, and is forecast to bring very strong winds to northern parts later on Christmas Day and into Boxing Day.”
A Met Office spokesman said that Storm Conor will form in the far west Atlantic over coming days before following Storm Barbara to the UK.
He added: “It’s likely to bring blustery conditions across the UK. The impacts are mostly wind, rather than rain.”
Met Office chief meteorologist Andy Page said that the strongest winds will be on Boxing Day after the storm gathers strength.
As Storm Conor approaches the UK, here is a round-up of the latest wind warnings in place this Christmas.
