Despite temperatures increasing and the sun making more frequent appearances, the UK doesn't seem to have gotten rid of chilling conditions just yet, according to new weather maps. WXCHARTS maps, aided by Metdesk date,  have predicted that parts of the nation should expect snow in just a couple of weeks. The maps show a white downpour and cold temperatures due to sweep across areas in southern England on April 8.

According to WXCharts forecasting, the harsh conditions will begin as early as midnight but should clear up in the early evening. The snow will impact as far north as the Scottish Highlands and as far south as Hampshire, with regions in southern England taking most of the hit.

Cities in the north, including Liverpool, Leeds, and Newcastle, will still see temperatures fall close to zero in the early morning of the day but will manage to escape the snow by the afternoon

According to the Met Office's UK long range weather forecast between Sunday, March 30 and Tuesday, April 8, most parts of the UK will be covered by "settled weather. However, periods of "unsettled weather" are also possible.

It says: "Some periods of unsettled weather could develop at times and if this happens any rain or showers are most likely to affect southern areas. Temperatures will likely be close to normal overall, though some cold nights are possible at times."

Parts of Devon will see showers of rain in the afternoon, which should clear up within a few hours.
