Met Office issues new 8-hour UK thunderstorm warning - full list of 7 areas affected
It's set to be a damp Bank Holiday Sunday for the vast majority of Brits - with some areas set for storms.
You may have had sizzling Bank Holiday barbecue plans, but according to the Met Office, today is more likely to be sopping wet than sun-soaked.
Yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms are in place across the country, with threats of flooding in place for several areas.
According to the national forecaster, the inclement conditions could cause "spray and sudden flooding" which "could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures".
Worse still the weather experts have said there "is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater and lightning strikes".
As well as those looking to lounge, those trying to get public transport may also see their plans scuppered. According to meteorolgists: "Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services".
But where are the thunderstorms expected to strike?
There appears to be two separate yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms in place across the British Isles, covering several distinct regions.
The first in place from 10am to 7pm stretches from the south-west, across to London.
The other is far larger and will last an hour longer - taking in an area from East Anglia across to North Wales and up towards Cumbria.
