UK heatwave forecast: Long-range chart shows Britain to bake for TWO weeks – 27C heat
BRITONS are set to bask in a two-week heatwave as temperatures soar to 27C, according to a long-range forecast.

Meteorologists at the Met Office have predicted sunny spells for this week and say the balmy conditions will continue into June. Thousands of Britons flocked to beaches and parks to enjoy the bank holiday sunshine. Across the UK, temperatures are set to hover in the early 20s over the next two weeks and reach 27C in some parts.
According to the latest weather charts by WxCharts, the warm weather is expected to continue to grip the country for the next two weeks, up until Sunday, June 7.London is set to see the highest temperatures over the coming days, with mercury in the capital reaching 27C on Tuesday.
County Dorset, home to Bournemouth beach, will see temperatures shoot up to 25C on Tuesday.
The local council has urged people to consider alternative sunbathing spots after the town’s carparks were jammed.
On Wednesday temperatures are expected to increase to 27C.
The Met Office said there would be a possibility of some light drizzle and fog near western coasts this week.
For the following week, as May comes to a close and some families prepare to send children back to school, conditions are expected to be dry and settled.
The Met Office said: “Much of central and southeast England should see a good deal of dry and settled weather next weekend with plenty of sunshine, though a little breezy.

“Temperatures will generally be very warm, but there is the risk of some thunderstorms breaking out at times.
“Cloud and outbreaks of rain seem most likely for Scotland and some other northern and western areas, where it will probably feel cooler.
“Looking ahead, there appears to be a shift to a more unsettled regime at first.
“Cloud and spells of rain may spread to most parts of the UK, but will predominately remain in the northwest.

“Temperatures should return to around average and may go slightly below in places.”
Thousands of Britons headed to beaches and parks to enjoy today’s bank holiday sunshine.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to Ruislip Lido in north London to reports of a large group gathering there.
The Government has urged people to continue to follow social distancing guidelines as they embrace a relaxing of lockdown rules.
The Met’s Hillingdon branch tweeted: "Please use common sense when it comes to social distancing.”
Hundreds were seen on Bournemouth beach, where the local council had warned people to "think twice" before heading to the seafront after nearby car parks were full.
The council said: "There are other less busy but equally lovely open spaces to enjoy or please stay home.”
Large stretches of traffic were also seen at the Yorkshire Dales, while walkers were seen enjoying the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Temperatures had been expected to reach 24C in London, with 21C in Newcastle, 20C in Edinburgh and Belfast and 22C in Southampton.
