Met Office weather: Sunshine and warm temperatures set for UK
The majority of the UK can expect rising temperatures and sunshine whereas the very north of England and Scotland will see cloud and wet weather as we continue through the week. The Met Office’s Simon Partridge explained that temperatures would be rising day by day as the UK builds towards hotter weather. He said: “It is another fine summers day for many of us today.
“It will be a fairly cool start but always that bit cloudier up to the far north when we see a little bit of rain as well.
“ It is in the north where we start first thing on Wednesday morning, plenty of cloud moving its way into Northern and Western Scotland with a few spots of rain already here, further south though it is a brighter drier and sunnier.
“Those temperatures will quickly rise this morning in that sunshine.
“As we go through the rest of Wednesday not actually not a great deal of change in terms of our weather.

BBC Weather: UK set for sunshine as high pressure prevails
He noted that for many it will be a dry and sunny end to the day for most of the country while Scotland remains cloudy and potentially wet.
He continued: “Why have we got all of this unsettled weather? Well, it is because of this area of high pressure out towards the west of the UK.
“It will be staying therefore the remainder of the week as well.

“Temperatures will build day on day very slowly so by the end of the week many parts of southern UK will be in the mid-20s.
“However, we will still hold on to these fronts up to the far north of Scotland, it will always be a bit cooler and damper especially on Thursday.
“Thursday is expected to be the wettest day of the week for Scotland, particularly for western areas but for the rest of the UK dry with plenty of warm sunshine around.”
