Donald Trump was spotted concealing his right hand once more whilst delivering an update on his crackdown on crime in major US cities.

The president addressed the nation from the Oval Office on Monday, revealing he's dispatching the National Guard to Memphis, Tennessee, a month after sending troops to Washington, DC.

Yet, as he delivered his remarks from the Resolute desk, numerous viewers observed that Trump's left hand remained firmly positioned over his right, where a significant bruise had been previously visible. The news emerges as a high threat alert was issued before Donald Trump's UK state visit.

"Last three appearances at the desk-left hand glued over back of right entire time," posted one individual on X. Another observer remarked that Trump "doesn't make a lot of hand gestures anymore."

Over the past month, Trump's right hand has displayed a dark, purple bruise. During certain public engagements, the president has attempted to mask the discolouration with makeup, reports the Mirror US.

Just last week, whilst addressing the nation from the Oval Office regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Trump was similarly observed concealing his hand.

In the four-minute footage, Trump attributed Kirk's death to "radical left" terrorism, declaring: "It's long past time for all Americans, and the media, to confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic consequence of demonising those with whom you disagree day after day, year after year, in the most despicable way possible.

"For years, those on the 'radical left' have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world's worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we're seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now."

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt attributed the bruising to Trump's frequent handshaking with world leaders, including Presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.

Leavitt also revealed that Trump receives "aspirin therapy.

"Recent photos of the president have shown minor bruising on the back of his hand. This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen," Leavitt said in August.

"This is a well-known and benign side effect of aspirin therapy. The president remains in excellent health, which I think all of you witness on a daily basis here."

US President Donald Trump said on September 15 he was signing an order sending a federal "task force" including National Guard troops to the city of Memphis, in the latest stage of his crime crackdown that critics have branded authoritarian. "The effort will include the National Guard as well as the FBI" and other federal agencies, Trump told reporters at a signing ceremony in the Oval Office, adding that it was "very important because of the crime that's going on." In July, the White House disclosed that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that causes reduced blood circulation in particular parts of the body, particularly the extremities.

It chiefly affects individuals over 70 and represents a relatively uncommon condition.

It explains Trump's visibly enlarged ankles, which seem to bulge from his footwear.
